Yarrow Wildflower – JC3038

Hardy perennial with white to pale pink flowers. Ideal for meadows, field margins, BNG schemes, and pollinator-friendly borders.

Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) Wildflower (JC3038) is a hardy perennial wildflower known for its clusters of small white to pale pink flowers and feathery foliage. Highly attractive to pollinators including bees, butterflies, and hoverflies, Yarrow provides long-lasting ecological value and contributes to species-rich, low-maintenance landscapes.

Ideal for wildflower meadows, field margins, BNG schemes, parks, and garden borders, Yarrow establishes quickly and thrives in a range of soils and conditions. Its resilient growth habit makes it suitable for both ornamental and ecological planting schemes, supporting biodiversity year after year.

  • Seedbed Preparation: Prepare a fine, firm seedbed free from weeds and competing vegetation. Ensure good seed-to-soil contact for optimum germination.
  • Sowing Time: Best sown in spring or early autumn when soil moisture is consistent.
  • Sowing Rate: Broadcast evenly over the prepared area and lightly firm. Avoid burying seeds too deeply.
  • Establishment: Perennial species establish gradually, with flowering beginning in the first season and increasing in subsequent years.
  • Management: Cut once or twice annually depending on site objectives. Remove arisings to maintain low fertility and encourage flower production.
  • Long-Term Care: Avoid fertilisers and minimise disturbance to preserve long-term flowering and biodiversity.
