Spring Flowering Wildflowers Plug Plants Mix

Early-season wildflower plug plants providing nectar and pollen for emerging pollinators. Ideal for meadows, field margins, and wildlife corridors.

The Spring Flowering Wildflowers Plug Plants Mix is specifically curated to deliver early-season blooms that provide vital nectar and pollen for emerging pollinators such as bees, butterflies, and hoverflies. Comprising a selection of UK native wildflowers, this mix establishes quickly from 40cc plug plants, ensuring a rapid and vibrant spring display.

Ideal for ecologists, landscape designers, councils, landowners, and conservation projects, it’s perfect for meadows, field margins, parks, and pollinator corridors. This mix offers both ecological value and instant visual appeal for early-season planting schemes.

  • Site Preparation: Clear the area of weeds and grass; lightly cultivate soil to create a fine tilth.
  • Planting Time: Best planted in early spring or late autumn when soil is workable and moisture levels are adequate.
  • Planting Density: Space plugs 20–30cm apart to allow plants to mature and create a continuous spring bloom.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly after planting and maintain soil moisture until plugs are established.
  • Maintenance: Cut back after flowering to allow self-seeding and encourage vigorous regrowth in subsequent years. Avoid removing all flower heads if seeds are required for wildlife.
