Pollinators Mix 80/20 Wildflowers (JC3158) is a diverse grass and wildflower mixture, combining 80% meadow grasses with 20% nectar-rich wildflowers. Designed to attract and support pollinators, including bees, butterflies, hoverflies, and other beneficial insects, this mixture provides first-year visual interest and long-term ecological benefits.

Ideal for field margins, BNG schemes, parks, gardens, schools, and conservation landscapes, this mix establishes a resilient meadow that supports pollinator activity while maintaining low-maintenance, species-rich grassland.

  • Seedbed Preparation: Prepare a fine, firm seedbed, remove competing vegetation, and lightly roll or rake to ensure seed-to-soil contact.
  • Sowing Time: Best sown in spring or autumn when soil moisture is reliable.
  • Sowing Rate: Broadcast evenly and lightly roll to optimise contact.
  • Establishment: Grasses establish quickly; wildflowers provide early nectar and pollen. Perennials develop fully over 2–3 seasons.
  • Management: Cut once or twice annually depending on objectives; remove arisings to maintain low fertility.
  • Long-Term Care: Avoid fertilisers and minimise disturbance to maintain diversity.
