Oxeye Daisy Wildflower – JC1526

Classic perennial wildflower with white petals and yellow centers. Ideal for meadows, BNG schemes, and pollinator-friendly landscapes.

Oxeye Daisy (Leucanthemum vulgare) Wildflower (JC1526) is a classic perennial wildflower, recognised for its elegant white petals and bright yellow centers. Highly attractive to pollinators, including bees, butterflies, and hoverflies, Oxeye Daisy adds both ornamental beauty and ecological value to meadows, field margins, and wildlife-friendly gardens.

This hardy species is ideal for permanent wildflower meadows, BNG schemes, public parks, and garden borders. Once established, Oxeye Daisy will flower year after year, providing long-lasting colour and supporting biodiversity across urban and rural landscapes.

  • Seedbed Preparation: Prepare a fine, firm seedbed free from weeds and competing vegetation. Ensure good seed-to-soil contact for optimal germination.
  • Sowing Time: Best sown in spring or early autumn when soil moisture is consistent.
  • Sowing Rate: Broadcast evenly over the prepared area. Lightly firm but avoid burying seeds deeply
  • Establishment: Annual species germinate quickly, producing upright stems and vibrant pink-purple flowers in the first season.
  • Management: Minimal maintenance is required. Allow natural self-seeding for continuous displays in following seasons.
  • Long-Term Care: Re-sowing is required annually to maintain flowering displays. Avoid fertilisers for optimal performance.
