Lily of the Valley In The Green Bulbs – JB2007

Premium “in the green” Lily of the Valley bulbs for shaded and woodland planting. Fragrant spring flowers, hardy and ideal for naturalising.

Lily of the Valley “In the Green” bulbs bring timeless elegance and unmistakable fragrance to spring planting schemes. Supplied with established green shoots, these actively growing plants ensure faster establishment and a more reliable flowering display compared to dormant dry bulbs.

Renowned for its delicate white, bell-shaped flowers and sweet scent, Convallaria majalis thrives in shaded and woodland environments. Ideal for underplanting trees, softening shaded borders, or creating naturalised ground cover, it delivers both visual refinement and seasonal scent. Once established, it spreads steadily to form dense, low-maintenance colonies that return year after year.

  • Plant immediately upon delivery to prevent roots from drying out.
  • Position bulbs 5–7 cm deep with shoots just above soil level.
  • Space 5–10 cm apart to encourage gradual ground cover establishment.
  • Water thoroughly after planting and maintain moisture during establishment.
  • Best performance in consistently moist soil; avoid waterlogging.
  • Allow foliage to die back naturally after flowering to support next season’s growth.
  • Divide clumps every few years if spread needs managing.
