Grassy Field Corners & Blocks – AHL3 / AHL4 / AB3 / SW4

Specialist ryegrass-free grass seed mix for field corners and blocks, specified for AHL3, AHL4, AB3 and SW4.

Grassy Field Corners & Blocks is a specialist, ryegrass-free grass seed mixture designed to establish an intact grass sward in field corners, blocks and other areas managed for farmland wildlife. The mixture contains five perennial grass species: Creeping Red Fescue, Tall Fescue, Chewings Fescue, Cocksfoot and Slender Red Fescue.

The mixture is designed to provide dense ground cover throughout the year while avoiding vehicle tracks, poaching and soil compaction associated with regular access. The combination of fescues and Cocksfoot provides a diverse grass sward, with Cocksfoot and Tall Fescue contributing tussock-forming perennial grass species.

The supplied specification identifies the mixture for AHL3, AHL4, AB3 and SW4 applications. Sow directly into a prepared seedbed at 10kg/acre, with broadcasting recommended between March and September. The stated sward height is approximately 30–60cm, with a flowering period of May to August.
