Dual Purpose Mix 80/20 Wildflowers – JC4105

80/20 grass and wildflower mix for first-year colour and long-term meadow development. Ideal for parks, verges, field margins, and biodiversity enhancement.

Dual Purpose Mix 80/20 Wildflowers (JC4105) is a versatile grass and wildflower seed mixture combining 80% meadow grasses with 20% wildflowers. This mix provides first-year colour from annuals while establishing a long-lasting perennial meadow, delivering visual appeal and ecological benefits.

Perfect for parks, roadside verges, field margins, estates, schools, and BNG or ecological enhancement projects, this mixture supports pollinators, birds, invertebrates, and small mammals, while creating a resilient, low-maintenance meadow suitable for long-term management.

  • Seedbed Preparation: Sow into bare soil or prepared low-input grassland. Remove weeds and lightly roll or rake to ensure good seed-to-soil contact.
  • Sowing Time: Best sown in spring or autumn when soil moisture is reliable.
  • Sowing Rate: Apply evenly and lightly roll or tread to optimise seed-to-soil contact.
  • Establishment: Grasses establish quickly; annuals flower in year one. Perennials develop a fully diverse meadow over 2–3 seasons.
  • Management: Cut once or twice annually depending on objectives. Remove arisings to prevent nutrient build-up.
  • Long-Term Care: Avoid fertilisers and minimise disturbance to maintain wildflower diversity.
