Double Snowdrop Autumn Bulbs – JB1022

Double Snowdrop bulbs with elegant white double blooms. Perfect for autumn planting in woodland gardens, borders, rockeries, and shaded spots.

Double Snowdrop (Galanthus nivalis) offers a graceful twist on the classic snowdrop with its delicate, double-petaled white flowers. Blooming from late winter to early spring, these bulbs provide one of the earliest bursts of garden beauty.

Supplied as dormant bulbs for autumn planting, Double Snowdrops naturalise well in shady spots such as woodland gardens, borders, and under trees. Once established, they return year after year, creating a charming, natural display that enhances any early spring garden. Their fuller, intricate blooms make them a standout among early-flowering bulbs.

  • Plant dormant Double Snowdrop bulbs in autumn, ideally from late September to November.
  • Plant bulbs at a depth of 5–7 cm, spacing them 5–10 cm apart.
  • Choose a shaded or semi-shaded location, such as under trees or in woodland gardens.
  • Plant in moist, well-drained soil; avoid waterlogged conditions.
  • Water after planting to help establish roots.
  • Once established, bulbs are low maintenance and naturalise easily over time.
  • Allow foliage to die back naturally after flowering to feed the bulbs for the following season.
  • Fully hardy in UK gardens, no winter protection required.
