Common Snowdrop Autumn Bulbs – JB1021

Classic Common Snowdrop bulbs with white, bell-shaped flowers. Perfect for autumn planting, shaded borders, woodland gardens, and naturalised areas.

The Common Snowdrop (Galanthus nivalis) is a beloved harbinger of spring, with graceful, bell-shaped white flowers appearing as winter fades. Blooming early, these charming bulbs bring delicate beauty and a touch of elegance to shaded gardens, woodland areas, flower beds, and borders.

Supplied as dormant bulbs for autumn planting, Common Snowdrops naturalise over time, returning year after year with minimal care. Their hardy nature and early flowering make them perfect for woodland, cottage, or shaded garden areas, creating a classic and enduring display that delights gardeners and pollinators alike.

  • Plant dormant Common Snowdrop bulbs in autumn, ideally from late September to November.
  • Plant bulbs at a depth of 5–7 cm, spacing them 5–10 cm apart.
  • Choose a shade to partial shade location, such as under trees, in woodland areas, or along garden borders.
  • Plant in well-drained soil; avoid waterlogged conditions.
  • Water after planting to help establish roots.
  • Once established, these bulbs are low maintenance and naturalise easily over time.
  • Allow foliage to die back naturally after flowering to feed the bulbs for the following season.
  • Fully hardy in UK gardens, no winter protection required.
