Classic Meadow 100% Wildflowers – JC3151

A colourful, low-maintenance wildflower mix for general-purpose meadows. Suitable for parks, roadside verges, field margins, and ecological enhancement.

Classic Meadow 100% Wildflowers (JC3151) is a diverse, low-maintenance wildflower mixture designed to bring a splash of colour to general-purpose sites. Comprising 12 carefully selected native species, this mix thrives in a wide range of soil types and conditions, providing seasonal flowering, ecological value, and visual interest throughout the growing season.

JC3151 is ideal for parks, roadside verges, schools, estates, field margins, and low-input grasslands, where simple establishment, long-term resilience, and biodiversity enhancement are key objectives. The mixture supports pollinators, farmland birds, and invertebrates, creating a species-rich sward that develops structure, colour, and ecological function over time.

This mixture is particularly suited to sites with general-purpose ecological or aesthetic objectives, delivering early establishment, long flowering periods, and low maintenance without compromising on wildflower diversity.

  • Seedbed Preparation: Prepare a fine, firm seedbed by removing weeds and reducing competing vegetation.
  • Sowing Time: Best sown in spring or autumn when soil moisture is reliable.
  • Sowing Rate: Broadcast evenly and lightly roll or rake to ensure good seed-to-soil contact.
  • Establishment: Visible flowering from year one; full sward diversity develops over 2–3 seasons.
  • Management: Cut once or twice annually depending on site objectives. Remove arisings to prevent nutrient build-up.
  • Long-Term Care: Avoid fertiliser application and excessive disturbance to maintain species diversity.
